Challenger, Charger, and 300: one platform, many variants
The Dodge Challenger, Dodge Charger, and Chrysler 300 are built on the same platform (LX/LA) and share a great deal of technology. This makes searching easier, but not automatically accurate. From the 2011 model year on, the V6 models are equipped with the 3.6 Pentastar. The V8s involve the 5.7 HEMI and the 6.4 HEMI. Additionally, there are all-wheel-drive versions, for which the drivetrain and parts of the chassis are designed differently.
Typical confusion regarding HEMI and Pentastar
- Spark plugs: The HEMI has two plugs per cylinder, meaning 16 in total. The 3.6 Pentastar has six, but the upper intake manifold generally has to be removed for the replacement.
- Oil filter: The 3.6 Pentastar has a filter element in a housing on top of the engine, while the HEMI has a screw-on filter.
- Water pump: The pump from the HEMI does not fit the Pentastar. We also check the part number against the engine and model year for the different HEMI variants.
- Model: Challenger, Charger, and 300 share many things, but not every filter housing and not every attachment.
- Brakes: Different brake systems are installed depending on the engine and equipment package.
How to request parts for your Challenger, Charger, or 300
Using "Request parts via VIN," you send us the 17-digit VIN and tell us which part you need. We use this to determine the model, engine, and model year and find the appropriate part number. Where the VIN is not sufficient, we will ask for further information or have you send a photo of the old part. You will then receive a firm quote with a final price including shipping and customs.
The shop only lists a fraction of what we can source. Some items can be ordered directly, while many are available on request, including for older models prior to 2011. If your part is missing here, ask us anyway.
